Dec 11,2017 My recommendation in Arashiyama! Enjoy the four seasons of Kyoto at the Okochi Sanso garden.
As there are many Japanese gardens in Kyoto, don’t you know where you are going? So, I will introduce “Okochi Sanso garden” where you can enjoy the beautiful garden by walking in the garden. The garden of the Okochi Sanso of the designated cultural heritage is a garden created by Okochi Denjiro, a famous actor of the Showa period play, for about 30 years since Showa 6 (1931).
As I went through the garden, I felt at ease with the natural scenery.
Inside the park, to my surprise, there was an observation deck overlooking the famous sights of Kyoto such as Mt. Hiei, Tower of Ninnaji Temple and Daimonji Mountain.
In the garden, as there are many stairs, sneakers are recommended that are easy to walk! I walked around quickly because it’s getting close to the closing time. But I could walk around in about 30 minutes.
